Rosario Marin serves in Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s cabinet as Secretary of the State and Consumer Services Agency where she oversees the state’s civil rights enforcement, consumer protection, and the licensing of 2.4 million Californians in more than 255 different professions.
Secretary Marin chairs the Building Standards Commission, the Victim’s Compensation and Government Claims Board, and the Governor’s Green Action Team.
Appointed by President George W. Bush, Ms. Marin served as the 41st Treasurer of the United States where she had oversight of the U.S. Mint and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. As Chairwoman of the California Integrated Waste Management Board from 2004 to 2006, Ms. Marin presided over the successful attainment of California’s 50 percent recycling mandate.
Ms. Marin received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles, and completed the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Stephen is a Terotechnologist with science, engineering, environmental and management qualifications with over 25 years of experience in property, construction and facilities consulting.
Stephen is well known FM industry leader, having been an active member of FMA Australia since 1994, joining the FMA’s Board of Directors in 2001. On the Board he has been instrumental in a wide range of knowledge, advocacy, governance and alliance initiatives including working with IFMA since 2003 on global issues.
2007 highlights for Stephen included his appointment to the IFMA Foundation Board of Trustees, delivery of the award winning FM Exemplar Project: Sydney Opera House with the publication of FM as a business enabler and being awarded FMA Australia’s 2007 Member of the Year.

California Energy Commission, Advisor to Chairperson Pfannenstiel
Panama is a graduate of Humboldt State University (HSU) with a Bachelors of Science degree in Restorative Development and a candidate for a Masters of Science in Community Development at UC Davis. He is an advisor for Jackalyne Pfannenstiel, the Chair of the CA Energy Commission where he works on Green building, climate change, land use, renewable energy, transmission and biofuels policy. He is a boardmember on the Northern California Chapter of the United States Green Building Council and the Humboldt Bay Center for Sustainable Living. He serves on the County of Sacramento’s Environmental Commission and City of Sacramento’s General Plan Advisory Committee.
He previously worked for the California Conservation Corps on vocational environmental education and the Division of the State Architect where he ran the Sustainable Schools program. He has served as a judge for the Governor's Environmental Economic Leadership Awards program for 2003-2007 and served on the Governor's California Performance Review. He tries to play Mandolin.

George Denise is General Manager for facilities for Cushman & Wakefield, providing facilities management services for Adobe Systems Incorporated’s North American properties, a portfolio of 17 properties totaling 1.6 million square feet. Adobe’s three headquarters buildings in San Jose, and their two buildings in San Francisco have all been certified as green buildings through the USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program. Adobe’s West Tower was the first building certified at the platinum level in the permanent LEED for Existing Buildings program, and Adobe is the only organization to have four properties certified at the platinum level.
Mr. Denise is President-Elect for BOMA Silicon Valley. He is also Co-Chairman for BOMA Silicon Valley’s Energy and Sustainability Committee, a member of BOMA International’s Energy Efficiency Program or “BEEP” Task Force, a member of BOMA International’s Green Lease Task Force, Western Region Chairman for Cushman & Wakefield’s National Energy Committee, and a member of the USGBC’s LEED-EB Core Committee.
He is the recipient of numerous energy conservation and sustainability awards, including California Flex Your Power’s Best Overall in Energy Management in Commercial Office Buildings, the Association of Energy Engineers’ Sustainable Project Award, BOMA International’s Earth Award, CoreNet Global’s Sustainability Award and the Governor’s Energy and Economic Leadership Award.
Mr. Denise has been a property manager for 27 years, working for Cushman & Wakefield for the past 17 years. He is a Certified Facility Manager through the International Facility Management Association, a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management, and a Facility Management Administrator and a Real Property Administrator through the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Chris Hodges is a founding Principal of FEA, with over 27 years of experience in the evaluation and repair of building systems and the operations and maintenance of buildings. Mr. Hodges earned his Masters of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Roof Consultant. Additionally, Mr. Hodges received his Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation from the International Facility Management Association, currently serves on the IFMA Board of Directors, and is a LEED® Accredited Professional, an accreditation of the U.S. Green Buildings Council.

Mr. Tuveson is one of the course developers and also an instructor for the Green Business Operations Certificate program at California State University Sacramento. Kit is President of Tuveson & Associates, LLC, a Facility Management Consulting firm. He earned his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Industrial Engineering at Stanford, and had a 37 year career in Manufacturing and Facility Management at Hewlett-Packard Company. Mr. Tuveson has presented workshops and educational courses around the world in many of the competencies of Facility Management. He was Chairman of the IFMA Board from 1997-1998, and continues to be actively engaged in training and special projects for the Association.

Mr. McBrayer is the Program Manager of Governor Schwarzenegger’s Green Action Team, which directs and oversees progress on the Green Building Executive Order (S-20-04). He leads the Department of General Services’ Green Team, which provides program management, environmental policy, and oversight for state building, energy, sustainability, and purchasing efforts. Mr. McBrayer has also served in various state leadership positions with the California Performance Review, leading efforts in energy management, information technology, and procurement.

Kris Wafler is the Manger of Facilities and Administration for VUDU, Inc. located in Santa Clara, California. She is responsible for all aspects of Facilities for this fast growing start-up.
Prior to VUDU, she was the Manager of Operations and Employee Services for Google’s headquarters located in Mountain View, California. She was responsible for over 1Msf of office space. She was been at Google for three years where she managed employee services and building operations. This included food services, fitness centers, building maintenance and vendor services.
Before Google, she was at Cisco Systems where she had various responsibilities including employee services, software systems implementation for Facilities and outsourcing. Kris was at Cisco for 10 years where she managed Facilities Services through growth from 600 to 45,000 employees.
She is a past Board member of IFMA Silicon Valley, and of Northern California Chapter of CoreNet Global.

A hands-on project manager with over 30 years project management, training, and auditing experience. Expertise in operations and preventive maintenance engineering programs; standards and performance measurement programs, quality assurance and management systems, and customer satisfaction programs. On a personal note, Fred has designed and owner built three passive solar homes, his current one being totally off the grid and self-sufficient. |
